On November 4, 2024, the delegation of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Hasanuddin University paid an official visit to Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok, Thailand, in order to strengthen academic relations and expand cooperation opportunities in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This visit aims to explore the potential for collaboration in student exchange, research, and organizing international conferences involving the Halal Center of Chulalongkorn University.

The visit was attended by the leadership of the university and a number of lecturers and representatives from the relevant faculties. During the meeting, both parties discussed various opportunities that could be explored together, especially in the fields of education, research, and scientific development related to the halal industry that was developing rapidly in the Asian region.
Student exchange
One of the main points discussed is the opportunity for student exchange between the two universities. This program will allow students from both parties to learn from each other and interact in the international academic environment, enrich insight, and improve global competence. The hope, this exchange program can strengthen relations between Indonesia and Thailand, as well as open more opportunities for students to get valuable international experience.
