In an effort to encourage innovation and awareness of environmental sustainability, the Capstone Design Exhibition 2024 comes with the theme “Eco-Package Revolution: Environmentally Friendly Product Packaging”. This event will showcase various creative works of students in creating innovative solutions for more sustainable product packaging.
The exhibition, which will take place on December 19, 2024 at the Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University, is expected to be an inspiring event for industry players, academics, and the wider community to contribute to environmental preservation.
According to Mr. Irwan Setiawan as Secretary of the Department of Industrial Engineering, Hasanuddin University, the purpose of this event is to provide a platform for the younger generation to implement creative ideas in the form of packaging designs that are not only functional but also environmentally friendly. “We want to show that sustainable solutions can be realized through design innovation,” he said.
Some of the works exhibited include packaging made from recycled materials, to innovations in reducing plastic waste. Participants also had the opportunity to present their concepts in front of a panel of judges and visitors.
