Malaysia, August 20th 2025 – Hasanuddin University, through the Department of Industrial Engineering, is once again strengthening its internationalization efforts by conducting Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activities for the Student Exchange Program at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). This activity is a follow-up to the existing academic collaboration between UKM and the Industrial Engineering Department at Hasanuddin University.

The monitoring and evaluation team from Industrial Engineering at Hasanuddin University was led by:
– Ir. Kifayah Amar, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D., IPU., ASEAN.Eng, as Head of the Industrial Engineering Department at Hasanuddin University,
– Dr. Ir. Saiful Mangngenre, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN.Eng, as Head of the Industrial Engineering Master’s Program at Hasanuddin University,
– Dr. Ir. Sapta Asmal, S.T., M.T., IPU., ASEAN.Eng, as Head of the Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Systems Laboratory at Hasanuddin University, and
– Ir. Maula Sidi Muhammad, S.T. as Administrator Staff
This monitoring and evaluation activity primarily aims to ensure the quality of the Student Exchange program, which has served as a bridge for collaboration between Unhas students and UKM. Through the monitoring and evaluation, both institutions jointly reflect on the achievements achieved, the challenges encountered, and future development strategies to ensure the program’s continued quality and sustainability.

According to the Head of the Unhas Industrial Engineering Department, this activity demonstrates a concrete commitment to maintaining the quality of international education and strengthening Unhas’s position in the global academic arena. This collaboration is expected to not only provide international experience for students but also pave the way for joint research, publications, and the development of academic networks between universities in the ASEAN region.
This monitoring and evaluation activity at UKM also emphasizes that the Student Exchange program is not merely a means of student mobility, but rather a strategic effort to improve academic quality, broaden global perspectives, and foster a spirit of cross-border collaboration.
