The Department of Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Hasanuddin University held an international-scale activity entitled “The International Conference on Research in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ICRISE) 2019”. This activity took place on Thursday and Friday, November 14-15, 2019 at the Grand Inna Kuta Hotel, Bali with the theme “Building capabilities in a digital world: Industry strategy, innovation, and collaborations”.
The conference, which was initiated by the Department of Industrial Engineering, presented three keynote speakers, namely Prof. Narita Yoshihiro (JICA C-BEST Academic Advisor, Hokkaido University Japan), Prof. Robert de Souza (Executive Director, The Logistics Institute Asia Pacific, National University of Singapore), and Assoc. Prof. Cheng Jack Kie (University of Malaysia Pahang). This activity is expected to be a forum for sharing experiences and knowledge of academics, practitioners, government and industry related to the development of research and publications in the field of industrial engineering and systems engineering. In addition, this activity will indirectly improve relations and cooperation between the institutions involved. This interaction will certainly provide a large space for follow-up after the conference.
